Leadership

Jirandy Martinez

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jirandy, a proud daughter of Colombian immigrants and lifelong Mamaroneck resident, leads the Community Resource Center (CRC) with a deep, personal commitment to social justice and equity. Her journey began in 2008 as an ESL volunteer teacher, and through strong mentorship and her personal dedication and vision, she rose to Executive Director, transforming CRC into a vital resource for immigrant and low-income families.

Under her leadership and forward-thinking mindset, CRC has expanded from a small referral agency to a powerhouse for direct social services, immigration legal support, workforce development, and community organizing. She approaches her work with authenticity, empathy, and an unwavering belief in the power of community.

Jirandy believes strongly in humility, and her work ethic has led to accolades she is proud to share in the hopes of inspiring others like her that anything is possible. Jirandy is a recipient of Westchester’s 30 Under 30 Wunderkinds, a 2022 New York State Women of Distinction honoree, and a Crain’s Notable Hispanic Leader. She also serves as Vice President of the Board of Nonprofit Westchester and is actively engaged in key local initiatives advocating for human rights, health equity, and affordable housing. Now leading CRC into its 27th year, Jirandy remains dedicated to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for all.

Janet Fry

DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Janet began her career at the CRC—as a Day Laborer Organizer. Over her seventeen years of public service, she has grown to an adept service provider and now immigration legal representative. Janet’s passion for immigrant empowerment is seen through her incredible community advocacy. As a Peruvian immigrant herself, Janet is proud to represent her people through CRC’s mission and overall programs and services.

Janet holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, is DOJ Fully Accredited, and a Notary Public. Janet represents the CRC Police Reform and Reinvention Committee of the Village of Mamaroneck, the New York Immigration Coalition Steering Committee, Westchester Human Trafficking Task Force. Janet also sits on the Board of the Westchester Women’s Agenda.

Marco Bohorquez

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & PROGRAMS

Holding a bachelor’s degree in Physics and Geology, Marco brings analytical and problem-solving expertise to community development. His passion for education and leadership led him to earn a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Long Island University, further reinforcing his commitment to workforce development and lifelong learning. Additionally, since 2023, he has been an OSHA-authorized instructor in the construction field, expanding his impact on workforce training. Since joining CRC in 2016, Marco has been instrumental in developing educational programs and workforce training initiatives for both adults and children. His leadership has significantly expanded access to essential resources, empowering individuals with the tools to build brighter futures. Beyond his work at CRC, Marco actively serves as a Board Member of the Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce

Luis Zarate

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & H.R.

Luis is the Director of Finance of the CRC, managing the budget and the Human Resources department.

Nicole Tuck

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNICATIONS

Nicole has dedicated over 18 years to fundraising for various meaningful missions. Passionate about making a difference, she has worked tirelessly to support organizations that drive positive change. Beyond her professional work, Nicole is deeply involved in community, with three daughters in the Westchester school system, fostering strong connections and advocating for a better future for all.

Zuri Peralta

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Zuri majored in Music Business and minored Marketing, Communications, and Business Management at Manhattanville University. She was hired in 2025 to oversee all administration. When you visit the office, you will be welcomed by her smile.

Citlali Falcon

COMMUNITY ORGANIZER

Citlali Falcon, a dedicated Community Organizer at the Community Resource Center, was born in Mexico and immigrated to the U.S. in 1993. She graduated from White Plains High School and completed the Cosmetology program at Southern Westchester BOCES. Citlali first connected with the Community Resource Center as a client in 2010 and soon became an active volunteer. As a DACA recipient, she developed a deep passion for advocacy, using her experiences to uplift and empower immigrant communities. Her commitment led her to transition from an Administrative Assistant to her current role as a Community Organizer.

Development & Communications

Aimara Martinez

DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Originally from Havana, Cuba, Aimara Martinez has always been driven by a deep passion for community and connection. Her journey with CRC began in 2017 as the Programs Coordinator, where she oversaw educational programs and discovered her love for empowering others. Through her work, she realized that making a difference wasn’t just about providing resources—it was about creating opportunities, building relationships, and amplifying voices that often go unheard.
In 2019, Aimara transitioned to the Development and Communications Department as the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator, where she played a key role in shaping CRC’s visibility, storytelling, and engagement. Her creative approach and strategic mindset helped strengthen outreach efforts, bringing the organization closer to the community it serves.
Recently, Aimara was promoted to Communications and Development Manager, where she continues to elevate CRC’s mission. She manages social media, fundraising events, donor communication, and CRC’s data systems—ensuring that every story told, every campaign launched, and every event hosted reflects the heart of CRC’s work.
Aimara earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing from Pace University, where she developed skills in branding, content strategy, and audience engagement. She combines her marketing expertise with her passion for social impact to create stories that inspire and drive change.
For Aimara, working in the nonprofit sector isn’t just a career—it’s a calling. It’s about using her voice to uplift others, ensuring that no one is left behind, and creating a community where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Because at the end of the day, making an impact isn’t just about the work—it’s about the people.

Rosario Alarcon

VOLUNTEER & DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Rose oversees the volunteer and intern program, ensuring prosperous community partnerships. She graduated Hamilton College in 2022, having majored in Creative Writing and Hispanic Studies. As a daughter of immigrants who grew up in Port Chester, she is proud to work for the CRC. Other advocacy passions of her include literacy and college access. Besides being a nonprofit professional, she is a writer and poet.

Veronica Blandino

FINANCE & REPORTING COORDINATOR

Veronica has worked at various international non-governmental organizations. She has experience as a college professor, in Human Resources, and Finance. Currently, Veronica manages the finances of the CRC.

Community Justice Program

Bertha Rodriguez

MANAGING ATTORNEY

Bertha leads a team of dedicated legal professionals focused on immigration. Bertha is also a strong advocate for pro bono legal work and has helped to coordinate legal clinics and training sessions that expand community access to legal services. Bertha holds a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Her legal career is marked by a steady focus on building relationships, providing thoughtful counsel, and making a tangible impact through every case she handles. 

Silvia Falcon

PARALEGAL

Silvia Falcon is the Paralegal and former DOJ Accredited Representative for Community Resource Center. Silvia Falcon has played a pivotal role in ensuring individuals and families have access to the legal representation they need, particularly in our community. With a strong commitment to justice and equity, Silvia Falcon has worked closely with immigrants, asylum seekers, and other vulnerable populations to navigate complex legal processes, including adjustment of status, naturalization, asylum applications, and removal defense. Leveraging a meticulous approach to case management and a deep understanding of immigration policies, Silvia Falcon has helped numerous clients achieve successful outcomes.

Carmen Vasquez

LEGAL ASSISTANT

As the legal assistant, Carmen works directly with clients conducting intakes and overseeing all paperwork and court submissions. Carmen studied interpretation and translation at Hunter College. She earned a degree in Paralegal Studies from Boston University. Carmen is also certified in sign language and can be found at the office, usually with a bowl of fruit.

Angelica Carvajal

CASE MANAGER SUPERVISOR

As the Case Management Supervisor at the Community Resource Center, I lead a dedicated team providing essential support and resources to immigrant families and individuals in need. My role involves guiding case managers, ensuring efficient service delivery, and developing strategies to address the diverse challenges our community faces.

I began my journey with this organization nearly four years ago as a volunteer, later working as a consultant and then as the Worker Center Coordinator, where I gained deep insight into the needs of the immigrant workforce. Now, as Case Management Supervisor, I continue advancing the Community Resource Center’s mission, advocating for and empowering those we serve.

Committed to fostering a compassionate and inclusive environment, I strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of the immigrant community and their families.

Liseth Paredes

SENIOR CASE MANAGER

Liseth is a Senior Case Manager with extensive experience in providing comprehensive support and guidance to individuals in need. Specializing in case coordination, Liseth advocates for clients, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and services to improve their well-being. Known for a compassionate approach and a strong commitment to client success, Lisethworks diligently to address complex challenges and foster positive outcomes.

Gonzalo Cruz

WORKERS CENTER COORDINATOR

Gonzalo Cruz is originally from Puebla, Mexico. When he arrived in the United States, he realized the labor abuse that immigrants suffered. In his first job, he sued and recovered more than a million dollars for his co-workers. He has worked with different organizations such as the Chicago Latino Union, Workers Justice Project, Don Bosco Workers Inc., Sustainable Port Chester Alliance, and Elias Foundation. 

Workforce Development

Rocio Lopez

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR

Rocio Lopez-Sanchez grew up in Jalisco, Mexico and studied at the University of Guadalajara Lamar. She graduated as a lawyer while also going back to school to study teaching at a high school and college level. She has been in the United States for over 20 years, working in various roles as a community leader. She has worked at organizations such as Family of Westchester, Neighbors Link, and Hispanic Coalition of Westchester. Also, she has collaborated with the Mexican Consulate to ensure other Mexican immigrants receive their papers in an expedited manner. Currently, she has been at the CRC for three years and teaches Spanish classes at the White Plains Library.

In her personal life, she has two boys. She was the President of the PTA at Columbus Elementary School in New Rochelle. She is an active member of the Church of San Gabriel and was a trustee for twelve years. She is a lover of literature, the arts, and music, especially classical music. One of her favorite songs is “We Belong” by Pat Benatar.

Programs

Mariana Espinoza

PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

Mariana is the Program Coordinator, managing educational and recreational workshops, including the CRC’s youth programs. In 2016, she immigrated to the United States from Venezuela, where she earned a degree in Human Resources. Upon her arrival, she familiarized herself with the CRC as a student of the ESL classes. Soon, she started volunteering and was later hired as the Administrative Assistant before her current role. Mariana is a perfect example of the CRC’s mission, beginning her journey as a client to now being a leader in the community. Besides her influence at the CRC, she is also an active and engaged parent to her sons within the Mamaroneck School District. In her personal time, Mariana loves to listen to  music and spend time in nature.
